Is There Hope For Saving the Republican Party?

February 1, 2013

Is there any hope for salvaging the Republican Party from the quagmire it is stuck in ? I seriously doubt it. Isn’t it strange that the Republican Party picked a presidential candidate that wasn’t that strong a conservative? Isn’t it strange that they picked a candidate that created a healthcare bill that was used for the inspiration of “ObamaCare”? Isn’t it strange that the same candidate made a half-hearted effort in challenging Obama on his weaknesses? Isn’t it strange that the candidate never really challenged Obama on any of the obvious failures of his presidency?

I was very disappointed in the way the Republican Party selected their presidential candidate. I believe there were many other possible candidates that could have easily given Obama a better run for his money. It seems obvious, that for some reason or other the Republican Party picked a candidate that couldn’t win against Obama. Romney was never really a threat to Obama and he knew it. Romney never really went after Obama and his terrible record. If he had, he might have actually won the election. That is why Obama never really put up a good fight, because he didn’t have too.

The Republican Party’s first and biggest mistake for the 2012 election wasn’t in 2012 but rather back in 2008 when they didn’t challenge Obama on his credentials. That was when the party first laid down and started crawling in the shadow of the Democrat Party.  There is no way you will ever convince me that the Republican Party didn’t know he wasn’t qualified to be President beforePuppetMaster he was elected. They have never stood up and fought against anything he has done. Even now there doesn’t seem to be a Republican left in Washington with a backbone to fight for us. Why is it that Boehner continues to give in to the left? Maybe he knows that the Republican Party is no longer a bastion of conservatism.  Boehner is just another puppet on a string being pulled on by the Conservative right and the Liberal left. The  problem is that he has allowed the Liberal left to take control of more of his strings.

It has also been said that Obama is just a puppet having his strings pulled by the likes of Soros. If that is true then it can also be said that Congress is just a puppet show, having their strings pulled by the same puppeteer. Could it be that we are being fooled into thinking that America is still a Constitutional Republic? Is America already beyond the point of no return? Are we already in the grip of a tyrannical government and we just don’t realize it yet? Are we living with false hope for a return to our constitutional roots? With what is happening in Washington, it seems apparent that our government is no longer our government, but I continually hope that isn’t true and that it can be turned around.

Everything this government is doing today is contrary to what is best for a stable constitutionally sound America and I’m not talking just about the liberal side of the aisle. We expect the left side of the aisle to push for their socialist and Marxist agenda, but now we are suddenly being confronted with the fact that no one in Washington is really fighting against them or for us. Sure the Republican legislators pound the podium and scream against the attacks on our future, but what do they do at the end of the day? Recently all they have done is cave in and given the left exactly what they want without getting anything in return. You can’t honor your convictions by giving in and compromising your convictions. It is one thing to compromise, and it is another thing to surrender.

When it comes to the Republican Party, I find it difficult to find any redeeming qualities. Can anyone tell me just one thing that the Republicans have recently gained from their “compromises” with the Democrats?  Tell me again how many Republicans voted for the fiscal cliff bill? Tell me again how conservative the Republican Party is? A true conservative would never have voted for that fiasco fiscal bill, but yet the Republican Party all but endorsed it. I would love for someone to tell me why. What were they so afraid of? The dreaded fiscal cliff was never the big bad death blow to America that we were being led to believe. If anything it could have been the best thing for America because it could have forced Washington to be fiscally responsible once again, but yet the Republican Party didn’t have the nerve to stick to their convictions and values.

The people in Washington are no longer representing us and haven’t been for decades. They can’t and don’t have the people’s interest at heart if they pass laws that are unconstitutional. Every concept within the Constitution is based on one thing, which is that all men are created equal, and as such should be treated equally. How can our of lawmakers believe that, when they create laws that they themselves are exempt from? The mere fact that they have exempted themselves from the Social Security taxes and the Healthcare Tax/Bill shows that they have raised themselves up above the very people they are supposed to represent. That flies in the face of the “all men are created equal” concept.

You can’t have a government “of and for” people, when the government is no longer composed of the people, and when the government is above the law. The Democrats aren’t alone in this tyranny, the Republican Party members of Congress are part of this cesspool of corruption. The Democrat Party has moved so far left that you can’t tell the difference from its ideals and the Socialist Party’s ideals. Since the left side of the aisle has moved so far to the left, the Republican Party feels that it has no choice but to lean farther to the left, just to talk to the other side of the aisle. That forces our government to move toward the left more and more each day and that is the biggest problem with the Republican Party. It is allowing the left to dictate our political future.

The Republican Party no longer demands or even deserves respect because they no longer stand for anything. They crawl and gravel with no regard for what they claim to stand for. They are no longer a viable political force in Washington. If the Republican Party is to ever regain its credibility then it has to get a backbone. It has to stand its ground and not cave every timesome one threatens them.

I suggest that we take the party by the reins, lead it back to conservative waters and make it drink. If we don’t then we don’t have a chance of taking our government back. The Democrat Party is already so far left that it can never be salvaged, but the Republican Party is still on the right side of the aisle, but just barely. Either we pull it back out of the control of the socialists or we can kiss it goodbye along with our government.

JamesMadisonPaintTotalIf we don’t do something about the Republican Party soon, then the only alternative left for saving our Constitution will be a second revolution. I really don’t want it to come to bloodshed, especially when all the blood being shed will be American. We need to tell every single Republican Party member and politician what we want and expect from them. We have to speak up by email, by fax, by telephone, by face to face communications and by any and all means possible. We have to be the true patriots and take responsibility for governing this nation. Politicians are our servants, not the reverse, and they should be constantly reminded of that fact. If we let them make us their servants then we lose our governing rights. Unfortunately that is what has happened and is happening more so every day. We need to not only remind them that they are our servants, but also show them that we will not allow anything else but their total servitude to us.

So speak up and be heard, do your patriotic duty, be an American! Be one of the governing body, be responsible! America can never be a free country unless we make it and keep it one. We are the guardians of the Constitution and our government, not the Democrat Party, not the Republican Party, and not the Supreme Court. We need to tell both parties what to do, and we need to make sure that they listen. But our responsibility doesn’t stop there, we have to hold their feet to the fire and make sure that they do what we want. We can no longer leave the governing to the government. We have to be the government because that was what our founding fathers had in mind in the first place.

I am a devout Constitutional conservative and Christian. My only degree is in life experiences, which comes from a lifetime of learning from life. I derived my education from being part of this great nation and that has given me more of an education than I could ever get from any text book. I love this country and everything it is supposed to stand for. I write to bring it back to its roots and to help stop the destruction that is coming to this country both morally and physically.
