Stupidity In America: The Maxine Waters Case

March 8, 2013

This is the first in a series of articles on the stupidity in America. I will be writing a few blogs about individuals and institutions in the lime light that have excelled at the art of stupidity. I will be using their own words against them. I hope I don’t bore you too much with all the stupid quotes because there are a lot of them.

But before I start I have to ask, what is the point of discussing something or arguing with someone when there is no logic? How often have you had a discussion with someone and the discussion suddenly goes nowhere because you can’t get a logical response from the other side? This is the single biggest issue confronting conservatives today because there are few on the liberal side who can even think logically. It might also be said that it is impossible to have an intelligent conversation with the left when discussing politics. Is it any wonder that Congress hits a stone wall every time the liberals disagree with the conservatives? Why would anyone want to elect people to Congress who can’t rationalize and hold an intelligent conversation with the opposition? I ask the question because it happens every day and the voters who elect them don’t care. We need to address this issue more than any other issue.

But back to the topic at hand, nearly every day we see quotes from people with influence that makes one want to shake their head in amazement. It makes one ask, what are they thinking or can they even think at all?

I want to take the time to show some recent comments made by some of the most influential people in America today. I know that people do make mistakes and they often say things incorrectly but when the same person repeatedly does it, time and time again it can’t be an honest mistake. There has to be something else at work or rather something is not at work. That something has to be their brain.

Just recently Maxine Waters made the statement that 170 million people would lose their jobs when the sequestering came about. Doesn’t she know that the Federal government states that there are only about 183 million people in America with jobs? How could she ever come up with a figure like 170 million? That is an end of the world estimate.

This blog is about just Maxine Waters’ ignorance. The above comment wasn’t Maxine Waters first or only gaffe or stupid statement, she also made these well thought out comments.

“Guess what this liberal would be all about?   This liberal would be about socializing … uh, umm.   … Would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies.”—If this doesn’t tell us what the liberals’ true intentions really are, nothing will. I’m sure she never intended to say that out loud and if she did mean to say it, then she is even more stupid than we think.

“We do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and particularly Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Frank Raines.”—We all now know about the facts of the crisis at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. However how many people know about the fact that Waters was a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee. She served in that office prior to and during the time all hell broke loose at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. She should have and would have known all about their problems long before they crashed. But instead of doing something to correct the problem she covered up the crisis and denied entirely that there was a crisis. Was that stupidity or corruption?

“If you call it a riot, it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason.   I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable.   So I call it a rebellion.”—This was in reference to the Los Angeles riots in her congressional district, where there was wide spread vandalism, looting and violence. There was no organized movement for any improvements within society therefore it wasn’t a patriotic act.  It was all about stealing, assault, killing and vandalism.  To call it a rebellion is just ludicrous and self serving. Every violent act was about theft, hatred, rage, and crime there was nothing honorable about any of the acts.

Her implications are just as lacking in honor as their acts. To justify criminal actions as patriotic actions is just another example of the stupidity of the left.  Patriots don’t randomly beat up people who happen to pass by just because they happen to be white… that is racism. Patriots don’t randomly destruct private property… that is vandalism. Patriots don’t randomly empty unattended retail stores… that is theft. Patriots act for the betterment of the people and the government. These people did not act for the betterment of anyone but themselves and that is not an act of a patriot. Her implication of it being anything else just demeans every patriot who has ever lived. That is something I care not to forgive but as a Christian I have to. However I can take comfort in the fact that I know God will serve up the justice that she deserves. The stupidity defense won’t work with God.

I am a devout Constitutional conservative and Christian. My only degree is in life experiences, which comes from a lifetime of learning from life. I derived my education from being part of this great nation and that has given me more of an education than I could ever get from any text book. I love this country and everything it is supposed to stand for. I write to bring it back to its roots and to help stop the destruction that is coming to this country both morally and physically.
