Why Is It That Christians Are Hated So

December 22, 2013

RomanChristianPresecutionFor days now all we have heard about is the hatred for Phil Roberson for speaking his religious values in a public forum. He was attacked and finally fired for saying that homosexuality is a sin. It was said that he was hateful for making the statement.  I am puzzled. Why is it hatred to say that homosexuality is a sin but not hatred to say anything else is a sin? The Bible lists many sins, not just homosexuality. So why are the sins of greed, lust, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, pride, idolatry, murder, lying, boasting and adultery given a break? Why don’t the advocates for homosexuality protest the hatred for the act of those sins?

I can tell you why, because they don’t really care about what sin is and theyRomanSoldiers don’t care about how people really feel about sin. They don’t care about the Christian message just like the Romans didn’t care at first. They just care about spreading their message of intolerance. If anyone says anything negative about homosexuality they are immediately labeled homophobes and hateful. The homosexual advocates will never be happy until every Christian embraces homosexuality as an acceptable life style or at least until none of them rejects the act because it is a sin. The homosexual advocates want to destroy Christianity by subverting it.

I’ll admit it.  I hate homosexuality and I hate everything about homosexual acts. But I can bet you that if you ask any gay person they will tell you that they feel the same way about heterosexual sex. Just because I hate homosexuality, that doesn’t mean that I hate the people who practice homosexuality. Matter of a fact I have many homosexual friends, but I don’t hate a single one of them.  But I also believe that homosexual acts are sin. I hate to eat eggplant but I do not hate the people who eat eggplant. There is no difference between hating homosexuality and hating eggplant. So why does the media love to label all people who hate homosexuality as homophobes or haters?

The media and those who advocate for homosexuality have an agenda and it has nothing to do with spreading the truth. They probably already know that Christians do not hate homosexuals but they don’t care about that little fact and they continue to spread hateful lies about Christianity. The truth is that God said homosexuality is a sin… period. I didn’t make that ruling and Phil Roberson didn’t make that judgment either, God did. All we are doing is stating what God said about the act.

It is the act of sin that is hated by Christianity, not the sinner. If Christians actually hated sinners then Christianity would be the biggest group of hate mongers on the planet because there has been only one person to walk the earth who wasn’t a sinner. Everyone else, including every Christian past and present, on the face of the earth including myself, is a sinner. If Christians hate sinners then Christians would have to hate everybody, including themselves.

Christianity has nothing to do with hatred. Christianity is all about love, the love of God, love of self and the love of all fellow man. But you will never hear that from the hate mongers that attack Christianity every chance they get. Don’t you find it strange that Phil Robertson was attacked for calling homosexuality a sin but nowhere do you hear of the same attackers attacking Muslims for calling homosexuality a sin? Nowhere do you hear about these same people attacking Islam for beheading countless homosexuals. Why is that?

Have you ever considered why Christianity is attacked repeatedly for its values but Muslims who have similar values are given a pass? I will leave you with that question to consider.
